Swaving Refreshment System
The Swaving Refreshment System provides extra refreshment for your livestock on hot summer days and prevents manure from drying out in the manure alley.
The Swaving Refreshment System consists of a pressure line that is attached to the feed fence using brackets. A nozzle is mounted on this line every 3 meters, which creates a fine water mist. Via the line mounted above the feed fence, the system mist the cows that are eating at the feed fence. The misting of the water on the cows provides immediate cooling for the cow due to the cold water and, in addition, increases the humidity in the barn, making it feel cooler.
A second advantage of the Swaving Refreshment System is that the water is mist above the manure alley, and that it dries out less on hot summer days. This makes it easier for a manure scraper or manure robot to clean the manure alley properly.
The Swaving Refreshment System operates at a minimum pressure of 3 bar and is controlled by a timer that activates the system several times per hour for a short period. It is also possible to connect the Swaving Refreshment System to a hygrometer. In this way, you can ensure that the humidity in the barn and therefore the cooling is maximal.
