Blister mat
The blister mat is the mat that holds the sand.

Highly suitable for deep litter cubicles and sand cubicles to create a firm base under the cow. It is now possible with the Blister Mat. After the sand (containing 25 to 30% clay) has settled, it is covered with a layer of 4 to 5 cm of bedding or sand. Just like a mattress, the top layer must be maintained. Only when the top layer is well maintained is the performance of the Blister Mat ideal.
The Blister Mat is a grid-shaped mat with square cells, 8 and 11 cm deep. The cells are filled with sand and covered with a layer of bedding (sawdust, chopped straw, or sand). The cows lie on the sand-filled mat made of resilient rubber. The cows have the comfort of lying on sand, but cannot scrape the sand out of the cubicles due to the cells.

This mat is a derivative of the Blister Mat, and is 4 cm thick. The method of use is the same: anchor it to the cubicle floor and fill it with loamy sand. Arguments for animal welfare: more grip and better regulation of body heat. Ensure clean and sufficient bedding. The use of the solid fraction in cubicles can be well combined with the Snooker Mat. The front and back edges are reinforced.
It is recommended to use the mat in combination with a knee boom guard, e.g., a 160 mm round PE pipe, and a rear edge, e.g., a 90 mm round PE pipe.
